To all you squabbling gamers out there.... Do any of you actually have a vested interest in what gaming hardware is superior? Why does it seem to be so important? This stupid bloody agrument has gone on for as long i can remember. You were laughed at for having a Spectrum 48K and not a Commodore64. You were mocked for having an Atari ST over an Amiga.You were scorned if you had a Mastersystem and not a NES. You were ridiculed for owning a Megadrive instead of a SNES. Why have an N64 when Playstation had more and cheaper games? Dreamcast vs PS2 vs XBOX vs GameCube and the list of systems gamers have squabbled over goes on and on. Aside from purchasing or your parents purchasing your console, what grounds do you have for slating other innocent gamers machines? Are you a proud and devout citizen of the Continent of Sony? Are you by chance a season ticket holder for XBOX United? This rivalry is only beneficial to the companies you're arguing about as it raises the profiles of the equipment these companies produce in general. For the most part all this bickering leads to is personal name calling and juvenial your mama 'this' and stick it up your 'that'! People choose their preferred console for all sorts of reasons. Word on the street, company loyalty, gaming with friends, thier fondness for a particular franchise or simply having to own the newest hardware available, there are myriad reasons why people choose the system that they do. I can't see why all this console bashing still goes on,(if your over 14) and knowbody worth their salt would rip on someone merely for owning something they personally dislike for whatever misguided or plain ignorant reason. Do any of you actually own shares in sony or microsoft? no? then enough with the futile "blu ray rules, microsoft is gay blah blah blah!
