I went to see the Sex and the City movie yesterday.

I wasn't a devoted fan of the show when it aired but I usually watched it (even though I was way too young back then). So when I heard that they'd be making a movie, I was a bit worried how they'd manage to adapt the show to the big screen.

Well, my sister definitely wanted to see it, because she liked the show very much. I actually bought her the whole series on DVD for Christmas. Anyway, we went to see the movie with some friends. In the beginning of the movie there were some insanely cheesy moments, and I had a really hard time watching them. I wondered if the whole movie would be like this. Thankfully something dramatic happened later, and it resulted in some great, powerful scenes. I think all the people in the theater were crying at one point (those of you who've seen the movie, I think you know which scene I'm talking about).

Oh, I have to mention about the product placement. I didn't realize it during the movie, but afterwards we were talking about it and someone pointed out that there was some heavy advertising in it. But I guess it's necessary for a movie like this, it's about fashion after all.

Well anyway. The rest of the movie also had some scenes that I did not like, but overall I think it was pretty good. I don't know what the hard core fans of SatC think of the movie, but I think it was enjoyable. Not the best, but still good.

Have you guys seen it?

Hi there!

Even though it's warm and sunny outside, I'm here in my tiny apartment sitting by my computer. But that's just because I've been reading for my entrance exams the whole day and now I'm taking a break. I wonder if anyone's read the book that I'm reading, it's 'Waiting' by Ha Jin. It's a fairly good book, much better than the one I had to read last year...

Anyway, as you have all probably noticed, it's season finale time. I've watched the season finales of House and Bones, and they both left me quite devastated. For different reasons though. If you haven't seen them and don't want to get spoiled, don't read forward. The Bones finale was a huge letdown, especially after the previous episode. I've already complained about this at the Bones forum so I won't start ranting about it here. In brief, the whole episode was a mess that didn't make much sense to me. As for House, its season finale was very saddening. It's funny how you can cry over a character that you didn't even like. But Amber's death really made me cry. I think it's because she made Wilson so happy, and he would've deserved happiness. So I was actually crying for Wilson.

Now I'm anxiously waiting for fall: I can't wait to see what Bones season four and House season five will bring!

I'm also waiting for November. That's when the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace will come to the theaters! Two days before my birthday! I checked out the photos on MovieTome and I have to say... Daniel Craig is one fine-looking man.

Now, if I can stop drooling over mister Craig here, I'll eat some ice cream and go for a walk. See you around!

I've been gone FOREVER! I moved over two weeks ago and I haven't had an internet connection. Now I do, thankfully. I've been going a bit crazy without it. I'm so behind on everything, I haven't been to the forums and there are about million new Bones and House episodes I haven't seen. How tragic is that!

Hopefully you all haven't forgotten me while I was gone.

Titanic
I usually call Titanic 'the greatest movie of all times'. It truly is the most powerful movie I've ever seen. The time and effort that has been put into this film is overwhelming. James Cameron wanted every little detail to be exactly right and...

Notting Hill
This is such a chick flick, but actually a very enjoyable one. Romantic comedies are usually rather silly to be honest, but Notting Hill manages to be interesting and funny from start to end. It's not cheesy like most movies of this genre tend to...

Layer Cake
A dark, different and surprising movie. Daniel Craig was able to bring a little sympathy to his character, which is remarkable considering that the character is a drug dealer. The cast did an excellent job, although I think Sienna Miller's...

The Birds
This movie is more about silent horror than repulsive violence. The birds being so ominous is what made this movie shine. This is a somewhat slow-paced movie so the viewer must have a little patience. As a whole this movie is very eerie and...

The Truman Show
The Truman Show takes reality tv to a whole new level. Truman Burbank's life's meaning is to entertain, even though he himself doesn't know that. This movie is original, fascinating and touching. You can't not feel sorry for Truman (very hinting...
