Finally got around to upgrading my pc based on an Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 cpu and a BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB graphics card. I just have to wait for the release of c&c 3, Stalker and crysis

This is my my first log, dunno how many i'll get around to doing.

Im mainly a pc gamer but have had previous consoles like a dreamcast, saturn, megadrive and a game gear. After them i just generally got bored of what games were being produced on the console scene and never bothered buying anything after that. I have spent most of my time since building and playing around with pc's so havent had the time. However last week i decided to buy a cheap xbox from ebay to play around with and to check out a few games...no doubt i'll end up dismantling it at some point tho.

Ive just started to play a few games i got with my x box. Started with Halo 2 as ive played about 5 mins of Halo 1 on the pc and thought what a pile of $%*! it was. Halo 2 got some good ratings so i thought what the hell i'll give it a try. I managed a whole hour this time, im beginning to wonder is Halo over rated or am i just expecting too much. I love games like quake, doom, far cry, half life etc etc but i just cant seem to get in to halo....so ive just brought far cry evolution.

I think im a pc gamer at heart. I got bored very quickly for what the xbox had to offer, so Ive just finished playing Half Life Episode 1. Was an excellent game albeit a little short which all the reviews have mentioned. I think my next step is to start an upgrade of my pc...which i should enjoy, im sure my wallet wont!!
