Well it was pretty hectic just trying to get seats for this movie. I went with seven other people, and four of us (including me) bought tickets for a 12:30 showtime where the other three bought tickets for 1:00. So we had to all sneak into the 1:00 showing, and believe me, we almost got caught, which is weird, because I didn't think anyone would care, unless they were afraid of selling out and not having enough seats. Whatever, it was worth it.

As far as the movie, I'm not so sure about it. It was like watching the first movie again, withonly onenew character, same old plot development, and alittlebetterbutnotbymuch humor. Megan Fox stepped up a bit in acting finally, Shia LaWhatever was aight, and the military, goverment, and war atmospheres are so badly done, just like the first movie. It's ridiculously unrealistic.

For what it's worth, it's a good movie, but so much is the same. Now you know they're gonna make a Transformers 3, which is fine, but jeebus, at least make it a little different.

8.0/10

I've been playing Resident Evil 5 a lot lately (actually reviewed it; first rather good game I've reviewed in quite some time), and I just can't describe my feelings towards it. I mean, it's fun, but it's also very frustrating at all the wrong moments. It seems like a huge boss is going to frustrate you, but no, those are the easy portions of the game, surprisingly. Instead, you get a wave of majini up your ass with minimal ammo and you'll be pissed.

So it's hard for me to assess just what makes this game so great. Sure, it's a challenge to go up against hordes of enemies with insufficient inventory, but... I dunno, the whole stationary combat aspect is a little clunky. It seems like the zombies will stand the exact perfect distance away from you so your machete is only an inch out of reach. And even when you do swing your huge ass knife, they know when to attack and when you're vulnerable. It's ridiculous. I can somewhat understand not being able to move while aiming your gun. But while having a machete out? Is Redfield so clumsey that he'll put his own eye out if he moves but one inch? Come on.

And that's really the main gripe I have with this game, otherwise it has a plethora of appeal to it. Boss fights are pretty fun, game play is standard--and moreso it's not all over the place like some games; it's straightforward and consistent--and the weaponry and inventory characteristic is a challenge all on its own.

I think tomorrow I might start on Prototype again since I've been neglecting it for about a good week now. It's a fun free-roam game so far, but I'm a little confused as to what to do. All the markers on my map take me to stupid stages that I don't care about or upgrade markets. Where'd the story go?

Aight, that's all for now.

Ghost Rider
On its own merits, Ghost Rider is one of the most pretentious movies out there. Considering super heroes and comic-based icons don't mesh well with the motion picture industry, Ghost Rider had very little potential to begin with. The biggest...
