So I saw Opeth on Sunday night, along with High on Fire. They both put on a spectacular show, but Opeth was literally jaw-droppingly epic! I wasn't a big fan of them, but thought it would be a good chance to see High on Fire (who are really awesome), but after seeing their amazing performance, I LOVE THEM. Their singer, Mikael Akerfield (or however it's spelled) was also hilarious! Overall, I had a really great time, ad bought a badass Opeth shirt

I know this might be weird, because I'm primarily a metalhead, but I've started to love underground rap/hip-hop. R.A. The Rugged Man, Jedi Mind Tricks, Army of the Pharaohs, Reef The Lost Cauze, Immortal Technique, DJ Shadow, Deltron 3030, Celph-Titled, and a few more. I used to always say "Rap/Hip-Hop's lame, no talent" like a lot of other people, but then I started listening to underground stuff, and I really love it. The beat's awesome, and all of the songs have quite a bit of depth to them, rather than "I get mo girls den you get yoooo" like what most mainstream crap is. I highly recommend Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story by Jedi Mind Tricks, featuring R.A. The Rugged Man. Make sure you wait for R.A.'s part, it's simply the best moment in hip-hop ever

So first off is the whole school situation. My real school is undergoing reservations, so we're twinning up with a city school. My school day is 12:30-5:00, with 1 hour classes, 5 minutes in between, and a 15 minute "nutrion break." For the days that I have football, an early bus comes to pick me up at 9:00. At first, I thought that I'd hate this new switch, but I've grown to love it. The teachers have been instructed not to give us as much homework as usual, because we get home so late, and sleeping in is amazing!

Next up is music. I've been listening to a lot of Russian Circles, having just bought their newest CD, Station. They really are amazing, especially their drummer. I'd recommend them to anyone that likes Tool. It's the same type of awesome progressive metal, but they have no vocals.
Here's my favourite song by them, Death Rides a Horse. Other than that, I've been listening to Army of the Pharaohs quite a bit. They're a 20 man, underground hip-hop supergroup with Vinnie Paz, Celph-Titled, Reef The Lost Cause, Demoz, and Chief Kamache as main contributors. They're ****ing crazy. Here's my favourite song of theirs, called Seven. If you're into REAL rap, then that is the song for you. Next up in terms of music is something upcoming, AMON AMARTH'S NEW CD! All songs from Twilight of the Thunder God have been leaked on youtube, and EVERY SINGLE ONE kicks major ass. My favourite is Live For The Kill. Make sure you wait until around 2:50, when Apocalyptica makes a special appearance! It's absolutely EPIC! I'll for sure be buying this CD

Football's been going much better than it was last week. I've learned all of the plays and been working on timing and such with the receivers a lot, and I'm happy with myself. My arm has been killing me though, and I think I mighta pulled something. I've been icing it as much as I can, and doing proper stretches and such, hope it gets better soon

I'm a pretty big fan of Rock Band, and I've seen endless "wish lists" so to speak. Here are songs that I would LOVE to see!

Amon Amarth -Hermod's Ride To Hel - Lokes Treachery Part 1

Agalloch - In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion (Insanely long, but soooo badass!)

Behemoth - At The Left Hand Ov God (Let's Face It, Hardest Song On Drums EVAR!?)

Black Label Society - Stillborn

Black Sabbath - N.I.B. (Finally a fun song to play on bass?)

Blind Melon - No Rain

Children of Bodom - Kissing The Shadows (Can't believe there's STILL no Bodom)

The Cure - Prayers For Rain

Dark Tranquillity - The Mundane And The Magic

Dimension Zero - Deny

In Flames - Episode 666

Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name (MASTER TRACK PLEASE!)

Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down

Lamb of God - Laid To Rest (Needed Something with pretty straight forward pedal work)

Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven (No Brainer)

LInkin Park - Papercut

Marilyn Manson - Coma White

Mastodon - March Of The Fire Ants

Metallica - Fade To Black

Modest Mouse - Dashboard

Nine Inch Nails - Star****ers Inc. (Edited I guess)

Opeth - The Lotus Eater

Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman

Pantera - Cowboys From Hell

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (Would be Welcome to the Machine, but don't really see that working)

Radiohead - Karma Police (only song I like by them)

Rage Against The Machine - Testify

Rotting Christ - Dying

Russian Circles - Death Rides A Horse

Skyfire - Dawn Will Break

Slayer - God Send Death

Slipknot - (Sic)

Smashing Pumpkins - Stand Inside Your Love (PLEASE! THIS WOULD BE AWESOME ON DRUMS)

The Tea Party - Writing's On The Wall

Tenacios D - Tribute

Tool - Stinkfist

Wow. My longest blog evarr!!!!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like -Sniper99-.
-Sniper99- must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could -Sniper99- possibly have for not rating a single film?
