For the past.... month, everybody had been talking about Modern Warfare 2. The topic only became more frequent when the game actually came out and practically every male student in my high school (exept me and my friends because we have better things to do...) is always talking about this game. Heck, I heard one of my teachers talking to a student about Special Ops mode or something... oh my god, it's crazy.

I officially declare this game overhyped. Just like GTA 4 last year... everyone was talking about it, it got perfect ratings, publicity, and now look a year and a half later... nobody wants to talk about it.

Now don't call me out here, I don't know if this is going to be the case with Modern Warfare 2 later on down the road, but (dare I say it on Gamespot) it's just a game... it will get tiresome after a while. Yeah there will be new map packs, maybe even a sequel out next year, but I'm completely positive that this series will die down a little bit...

I don't mean to offend anyone who has wasted hours and hours of their lives this past week and a half, I think it's a great game, and at the same time really over hyped.

I got New Super Mario Bros. Wii today, and as soon as I got home my friends came over and we jumped right into a 3 player co-op game. Here's what my friends had to say:

"This game is f***ing amazing."

"Nick stop throwing me in the holes!"

"Would you guys stop throwing shells at me!"

"Good he lost all his lives, now we can finish this level"

"I love how we used like 8 continues and Russ only used 1"

Anyway, we had a blast playing the game. Multiplayer is really fun in that frustratingly challenging kind of way.

I can tell already that there's a lot of extra stuff to this game. The star coins in each level, different paths, warp cannons, yep this is definately a Mario game.

But this game is actually pretty challenging, some of the levels get pretty tough. It's a lot harder than the DS original.

But it's still an awesome game, pick it up, it's worth the money. It's not going to be the best game you've played this year, but it probably will be the most fun game you've played with friends this year.

I have a special announcement to make regarding New Super Mario Bros. Wii, possibly the awesomest game coming out for Wii the rest of the year:

I'm picking it up on sunday! Yes!

3 of my friends are coming over sunday night for some co-op fun!

So if you're hesitant on getting this game at first, look nowhere further than my blog on monday to see if it's worth it!
