Yeah, so I've been in navy for the last 4 weeks. It's so lame that every man needs to do military service for 6-12 months here in Finland. Looks like I will be staying there for 9 months, not sure about that yet. But anyway, it is eating pretty much all my free time outside weekends. This is damn hard to get used to but guess I have to live with it...

yea well think of it like this.... u get a gun? umm no u get to be in shape?... Damn uhhh Finland is cool? its hard to think of good things about the military..... : )

Man that's a bummer...I would hate to be in the military. Why would they force you to do that anyway?

Thanks for the cheer-ups guys. Wiio, there is an option to work for 11 months for the state, but you get virtually nothing in your pocket for doing that either.

My friend Janne is being called up to do his 'Military time' soon, he says he will be there for roughly 6-9 months! So good luck to him, and keep it up! do your country proud! 
, when my friend goes his flat will be empty for all that time so Me and my girlfriend may be moving over to Finland for a while! , which i think is only fair considering my girlfriend is Finnish and she has lived here in England for the past 5 years i think it is time for her to go home so to speak! which does not bother me at all as i love the place!
