Welcome to my blog, enjoy it cuz I sure do...

Kind of random I know, considering it's late at night and all but I figured since I'm online and bored, I'd commemorate the day. Also, yesterday was a friend's birthdays so 'Happy Birthday Misty!'

So I haven't posted in a while and there isn't too much to write right now so I'll recap on how my summer has been so far (not in any particular order)....... (Well it started in May and I have posted after that so I can skip a lot). All of Windsor's festivities are pretty much over...

-My friend Andre moved back from Chile after 6 years... it was fun being reunited after he moved for so long, but he's definitely not the same person.... I'll get into that some other time. Him, his girlfriend (he works pretty quick) and I went to the fireworks that are held over the Detroit River.

-I've been making weekly trips to the clinic with my grandmother, she's pretty sick but she'll pull through.

-Caesars Windsor opened up (Casino Windsor just changed it's name and there was a small addition) ... a lot of celebrities have been coming for concerts and such... maybe we'll become a mini Las Vegas lol.

- Jazz Fest wasn't the best this year... too much rock jazz was going on, I like rock music and jazz separately but together the usefulness of ear plugs is stepped up a notch.

-Epicure was pretty great, 'The Kimmie Horne Show' performed and they were pretty amazing, I certainly danced my *** around a bit...

-Summer Festival came and went, I checked it out but the rides weren't too appealing, I think I'm getting too old for carnivals... I tend to only stick to the games and it's not like I care for a stuffed animal... either that or after being to Disney world and Universal etc. I just find these small rides really lame..

-Canada Day wasn't all that special, I went downtown to celebrate Canada's birthday but I'd say July 4th weekend was a whole lot more exciting because of all the americans who came to party... the city is more lively when the 'a-little-over-19' but 'not-quite-21' US citizens and landed immigrants make their arrival.

-Carousel also passed by, that was fun getting to eat some good ole caribbean food (I'm trinidadian so I check out the caribbean carousel! The italian one is probably the only non-caribbean one I check out!) I had a blast there for the most part, dancing and all until I learned that an old friend of mine named Courtney passed away in May, it completely spoiled the night... she was a really sweet girl and her sister is awesome, I knew both of them through friends of mine.

-There hasn't really been too many really good movies worth seeing in theatre this summer but I did see Hancock which, even though it lacked a really strong plot, was definitely a must see movie. The Dark Knight (which was a given) is already hands down the best movie I've seen all year long... it blew me away entirely, and this was a late show where I was actually pretty tired at the time but it kept me glued.

I guess this brings me to the present.... yesterday was pretty great I didn't do anything really exciting, today should be better once I get some sleep and all that good stuff.... I'm supposed to be going to a buffet, we'll see how the day plays out. Can't guarantee I'll post but I'm trying to make it to at least 50 blogs before July is over which is very doable... (well this is blog number 43 so I guess it's not unless I posted twice on July 31st)... Anyways I guess I'm feeling pretty tired so I'm going to head to bed... have yourselves a good night or good morning depending on wherever you live, take care,

P.S> One of my friends bothered me to get into Avatar, I thought it'd be stupid but I ended up liking what I saw so I put the whole series on my ipod and watched it within a week.... I have to admit, not bad for a Nick series. And the finale was pretty epic for a series with no deaths.

And you didn't miss much. I'm not going to reveal any spoilers for people who care to watch it but it wasn't all that. I mean it was good if you extremely loved the High School Musical movies... most likely because it was sort of the exact same thing. It had Disney's cliched "Just be yourself" message that lingers throughout all their movies but overall I guess the songs were catchy and a little entertaining. I don't think that evil blonde Sharpay rip off really learned too much of a lesson in the end, or if she did it could have been displayed more. I thought she was (slight spoiler) going to steal the song which would have made it a whole lot more entertaining than accuse Mitchie (the main chick) stealing her bracelet? That was a pretty stupid scheme but I guess these are tweens we're talking about. I'm not really a Jonas Bros. fan so I may not have found the movie all that appealing for that matter.

I know I never wrote about the Lost season finale like I said I would in my last post so.... I'll mention that I thought it was pretty great. I was pretty shocked they literally "moved" the island and that Locke was in the casket.... can't wait until next season!

Speaking of seasons.... the Degrassi season finale was leaked. Pretty emotional and well done; in my opinion the older cl@ss that graduated in season 5 had a way better episode... don't get me wrong this episode was pretty amazing but the plot was kind of weak but I still loved it (That's all I can say without giving any spoilers). Nice tribute to JT though.

So everything's been pretty great here in Canada, overall I've just been enjoying my summer. Today... well yesterday now as I just looked at the time, I ate at Moxie's and went to see the Hulk movie which was actually pretty good. My sister went to see The Happening with her friends and told me about it... apparently I didn't miss much and M Night Shamalayan (spelling??) seriously has too much of an ego. For some reason his movies are always praised as phenominal but I failed to see it in Lady in the Water and anything else she wrote other than the twist in The Sixth Sense.

So I guess I'm going to head to bed. Have a goodnight,

I thought it deserved a post... I'm so excited, my friend Tony's coming over to watch it too he can't wait as well.... this season has been so amazing, I wonder what television redefining moments will happen tonight like last season's flash forward finale fiasco which surprised everyone!!! I really can't wait until 9:00 I'm dying to watch it, this is going to be so great!!!!!!!!

Anyways, things have been very good lately, I was actually in New York Last week for a dinner cruise, it was my cousins birthday. Had lots of fun there... I'm only 20 so I really didn't get to drink (at the club anyways... on the cruise I didn't get ID'd....) but I enjoyed myself dancing and even hooked up with one of my cousins hot girl friends (didn't have sex, but you know...). Don't know if I'll ever see her again though which sucks but I have her phone number I'm thinking of giving her a call. Other than that I've just been doing the same old, going to the movies etc. Prince Caspian was really awesome but I can't wait for the Dark Knight. Anyways....

I guess I'll post again after the finale, stating how I felt about it... hope everyone enjoys, see you later!
