I'll start with the England game, though I only caught the last 45 minutes of this, I was impressed with what I saw. The first half from what I could tell, was, well a bit of a let down to say the least. We conceded two goals that were frankly sloppy give-aways, and when playing a team like the Dutch (currently 3rd best in the world by FIFA rankings) just foolish really. Fabio Capello's excuse was 'pre-season' which may be excusable but we are talking about players who should know better. Second half saw Jermain Defoe replace Emile Heskey, best swap of the night, he scored 2 goals in the end and could of had more. The last half, the Dutch were pretty bad, although they were still a threat. Overall a promising match, with the positives being the way we came back to even the score after going 2 down. We need to play a hell of a lot better to win the world cup in 2010 though.

2-2 final score, England should have won in the end.

Onto the Scotland-Norway game and although I didn't watch it I was disappointed with the score. I will always cheer for Scotland after England, but it was a thrashing that Norway gave to the Scots. Unfortunately this was a world cup qualifier, meaning Norway now are back in contention of taking away Scotlands place.

4-0 final score, with Norway the victors.

*Sigh* the less said the better.

We were dismal.

They were mediocre

The ref was appaling.

All in all, it made for a terrible game to watch, and a terrible result for us.

I never saw the England game, but I'm shocked Emile Heskey is still playing and can make the team.

I love football (soccer). I'm probably the only American that will read this knowing it isn't American Football I greatly dislike American football, such a dumb sport IMO. I know, I'm a strange American, I dislike football (American), baseball, and nascar The only American sports I like are basketball, skateboarding, drag racing, and sprint car racing. But then again, I'm not a sports person.

I haven't watched a soccer game since the last world cup I don't usually watch games.

@Denny_Carmassi - Bad result indeed , I was expecting maybe a draw or a win for them, or if they were to lose, no more than by 1 or 2 goals. Emile Heskey is younger than Beckham, but he hasn't scored as many as even Defoe, who has been capped less, I would prefer Michael Owen to be in the squad.

@Cody13_2012 - Oh I forgot about calling it soccer for you guys Though I do hate that word, as even some Europeans are calling it that now which is just wrong to me. I recommend watching the English Premier league, best in the world Only American sport I've ever watched is skateboarding, which is awesome

@vj02 - Good, good Footballs not for everyone, but the odd high profile match here and there is good
