Michael Schumacher returns to Formula 1!!

Ok this is very big news for me, I am a huge F1 fan and also a big fan of the great German and 7 time world champion Michael Shcumacher (IMO the best of all time, even Ayrton Senna)

He will be racing for the Ferrari team for the rest of the season since Felipe Massa was struck on the helmet by a suspension spring travelling at about 160mph, as a result he has been in a drug enduced coma ever since and has suffered eye injuries and a fractured skull . Obviously I am very sorry for this as Felipe is another favourite of mine and I hope he has a very speedy recovery as well.

The major thing about this though that excites me is Schumacher racing against current world champion Lewis Hamilton, and it seems Hamilton is back on form in a newly upgraded and very fast car, having won the last race in Hungary at the Hungaroring in Budapest .

@vj02 - I can't believe it , I thought they would get one of the younger test drivers to do it, especially since Schumi's agent said he wouldn't be racing, a couple of days ago.

Exactly and I still can't believe he'll be back on tracks again after three years of his retirement, I'm enjoying this!!!

This is going to sound really bad but I didn't know he'd left! I do quite like F1 (my parents used to watch it with me when I was little) but I've not really been keeping up to date on it recently. I did know about Felipe Massa though, and hope he makes a full recovery

I can't wait for Valencia!! I'm hoping Shumi can consistantly slot himself between Webber and Button for the rest of the season (I can't see Massa driving for the rest of the season). Exciting time's for a Mark Webber fan, see how I made this comment all about him lol

@Cbok - Hell yeah! that would be awesome, I'm a Hamilton fanboy myself but I think Webber really deserves some more wins, he's worked enough for it all these years, but in the end I hope Button wins the championship

Honestly i'd be very happy with either taking the crown. Both drivers are veterans of the game, that have spent their whole careers in mid field cars. Most people wrote them off as "average" drivers. The sort of people that dont understand the sport. Anyway they are both great drivers and great blokes off the track. They both deserve it! I just hope Vettel dosn't win it. He will no doubt be a champion in the future, as for Button and Webber, this is probably their only chance. Let's see how Button handles the pressure in the next few GP's. Brawn have fallen behind in the the development race, at the moment Red Bull seem like they can catch them. I'd love it to go down to the wire like the last 2 years. That would be Epic!!!

@Cbok - With the way the Brawns are performing at the moment, it may just go down to the last race. Mclaren and Ferrari look like they could influence the drivers championship as well now.
