Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands, only behind Nirvana, STP, and Alice in Chains. Pearl Jam was certainly no Nirvana, but they are a very talented band. Eddie Vedder has a beautiful voice probably one of the greatest. Matt Cameron is an awesome drummer, my second favorite. Mike McCready is also a pretty good guitarist. I liked "Last Kiss" though it wasn't them originally I think they made the song a lot better. "Alive" is so far my favorite song by them. I think Pearl Jam will go on for another 10 years and stay one of the greatest bands ever.

The instrumentals are awesome liek the guitar solos in Alive and in Black. Every aspect of the band is great. They've been my favorite band ever since I first heard them 15 years ago. They truly are the last grunge band and they are what is keeping grunge alive. They'll never sell out like Aerosmith or KISS. PJ wi8ll just keep on rockin until Eddie Vedder is too old to sing.

Do you have a life if you don't listen to them? No. If you need examples of their greatness, just listen to "Why Go", "Alive", "Even Flow", "Go", and "Spin the Black Circle". They still rock and always will. I don't really want to review them because you can sum them up in "Rocking **** hard.", but I need 100 words. They rock, They rock. They rock. Buy "Vs.", "Ten", and "Vitalogy" now. After that, get "Pearl Jam" (next on my list).

What Pearl Jam are, is Pearl Jam. And they do a very good job of being Pearl Jam.
I have to confess I'm not a huge fan of Eddie Vedder's singing, but his lyrics are some of the best out there. Combine this with two great guitarists in Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, and the added bonus of Jeff Ament's bass and you have a great band. Current drummer Matt Cameron is also Pearl Jam's best ever drummer in my opinion.
My one problem with Pearl Jam is that they often aren't hard enough for me. For example, in their self-titled album, there were only seven songs that I really enjoyed, but two of these (World Wide Suicide, Marker In The Sand) are my two favourite Pearl Jam songs.
All in all, the worthy heirs to the throne of grunge. Just don't call then Nirvana Lite or Nirvana's successors.

I have never in my life heard a better band than Pearl Jam, they rock so hard! I've never heard them play a bad song, and probably never will, because they're Pearl Jam and that's reason enough. My favourite Pearl Jam album is Vs. because it's so raw and primal, every song on that album sublimes all over your mind and doesn't go away. Ten is definitely a close runner up, the only thing that holds it back is the polished sound, but it still has songs you will never forget, like Jeremy, when I first heard that it was like I had a lobotomy, I couldn't move. That's the first and only time a song has ever done that to me, it's so good I can't even find a way to describe how good it is, it's one of the best songs of all time. Pearl Jam deserve a lot more recognition than they have, they are one of the few consistant bands out there.

Pearl Jam came around at the time of my life where I was trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted to be. Okay, I was a little to young to be thinking about that at that age, but Pearl Jam's music has had an amazing affect on my life. As they grow with times, so does their music and so do I. Their sound is more "grown up" now than it was in the early 90s. I'd also like to think that I'm more grown up as well. I love Pearl Jam because Eddie Vedder's voice is amazing and their musicianship is top notch. I really feel what they are feeling when I hear any one of their songs.

Where do I start with em'. They're music is very original and sounds superb. I cannot stand not to drive to school without World Wide Suicide blasting. While still having some problems with finding a drummer to stay with them, you wouldn't of guest it because it didn't affect their music. Thankfully Matt Cameron has stayed with them for 8 years. Pearl Jam will always be remembered for being a sound of their own and their originality. And will there be a possible ninth album? Hope so.
