Robert De Niro is one of the greatest living actors!Period. I first saw his acting in Analyze That (yeah,I'm kinda ashamed) but I wasn't that impressed. Afterwards I got to see the legend movies as Taxi Driver,Once Upon A Time In America or Raging Bull. Then, I was amazed. This man is a reeeaally good actor! I saw aprox all his movies,and I can say I'm a big fan. His performances are brilliant! He displays the emotions of the characters very natural (without any troubles becoming them) and revealing nothing about himself in the process. Robert De Niro is a master in his job,and he proved that during the whole 40 (or more) years spent on the Hollywood spotlight. Only respect for him.

He is an awesome actor who has won two Oscars - One for Raging Bull - 1980 (Best Actor) and the other for The Godfather Part II - 1974 (Best Supporting Actor). He appeared in various movies that were directed by Martin Scorsese, including Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and Casino. He also won the Golden Globe in 1981 for his role in 1980's raging Bull. However, his career took a nosedive in the 2000s, when he starred in low-quality movies, such as Meet the Fockers, Showtime, Godsend, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Hide and Seek, and many other current flops. He has just directed "The Good Shepherd," a movie that was nominated for an Oscar.

He can do any kind of genre you want him to, whether it's comedies, scary and creepy like Cape Fear, mobster/crime like Goodfellas, war like The Deer Hunter, and any other roles you can think of. I strongly suggest and recommend to anyone who hasn't seen his old movies to start buying or digging it up, because De Niro has so much classics, and almost all his movies are great.

He worked with many other talented legionary actors such as Al Pacino & Christopher Walken, he has starred in the worlds greatest classic movies such as The Godfather Part II, Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull etc. he played his roles in a multitude of movies with utmost elegance & sophistication. He first gained fame for his role in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973), but he gained his reputation as a volatile actor in Mean Streets (1973), which was his first film with director Martin Scorsese. In 1974 De Niro received an Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in The Godfather: Part II (1974) and received Academy Award nomations for best actor in Taxi Driver (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and Cape Fear (1991).
