David was born in 1974 in California, where he attended St. Finbar Elementary private school. David has a brother, Michael, who is also an actor and another brother and sister.

David's main occupation is as an actor, but when he is not acting, his interests stretch to music and business. His rap name is "D" Lil'. He has been featured on a rap album entitled Balistyx and on a 1992 Black & White Records release called I Told Ya. On the business side, David has managed a hip-hop and funk night club on Sunset Boulevard since 1991.

David can often be found starring/guest starring in television shows, such as Married...With Children, I Had Three Wives and The Help.
