Cara Williams endured something most women should never had to have: marriage to John Drew Barrymore. She went through hell with him and still managed to produce a son and work as a creditable actress. Ms. Williams starred in two series over the years: Pete and Gladys and The Cara Williams Show. Cara was at one point being groomed as the next Lucille Ball, when her namesake series was canceled. Ms.Williams retired from the entertainment business in the 1980's and became an interior decorator with quiet a following. She remarried a third time after her divorce from John Drew Barrymore.
