- Johnny demanded a Moroccan-themed trailer on the set of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Studio bosses agreed to the unusual request and forked out £20,000 to re-decorate his accommodation with expensive drapes, scented candles and several shish pipes - which are used for smoking flavoured tobacco. Johnny took his interior design advice from his idol Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards - who inspired his Pirates of the Caribbean character.
- Although Johnny remained on 21 Jump Street for five seasons, he strongly regretted it. He didn't enjoy it at all, because he thought the storylines were too fake, and not enough taken out of the newspaper headlines. He even tried very hard to get himself fired, but failed, for he had signed a five year contract to be on the show.
