Carla Bruni Tedeschi, known as Carla Bruni, is an Italian songwriter and model. She was born in Turin in 1967 and she is the daughter of Italian concert pianist Marysa Borini and industrialist and classical composer Alberto Bruni Tedeschi. She also has an older sister, Valeria Bruni who is an actress.
Carla's family moved to Paris whe she was just 5 years old because of the Red Brigades (Italian terrorist group).
After high school she started to study art and architecture, but at the age of 19 she dropped college to became a full time model.
Carla Bruni soon became the most paid model in the world.
Since February 2nd 2008 she is married to President Nicolas Sarkozy.
