Joe Morton was born on October 18, 1947 in New York, New York, USA. The Son of a U.S. Army intelligence officer he spent parts of his childhood in West Germany and Okinawa. After his fathers death under mysterious circumstances in Germany while helping integrate overseas Army bases in the 1950s, he moved back to New York and became an actor. After a successful stage career, he made his movie breakthrough as the mute extraterrestrial in John Sayles' "The Brother From Another Planet". He is probably best known for his role as Dr. Miles Dyson in "Terminator 2: Judgement Day".
