- Matt Hoopes: (referring to working with producer Howard Benson) I was honestly pretty nervous. We'd never really worked with any other producer beside Mark Townsend - he did everything from our first demo, all the way up to the last album. But it was a good experience working with Howard.
- Matt Thiessen: (referring to some of Relient K's darker songs) We're all doomed to make mistakes and to try to recover, But I prefer to look at it from the positive, and refer to it as a grace kind of thing.
- Matt Thiessen: I always write about what I'm going through and I can't avoid the fact that I'm just really happy and there are some good things going on.
- Matt Thiessen: I really love to not be serious all the time, even when I am being serious.
- Matt Thiessen: Our main incentive is to meet new people and for our music to be a positive influence on people.
- Dave Douglas: The Living End, roll on, are one of my favorite bands. They’re so cool. They’re from Australia. Amazing guitar work, guy’s got a great voice and really surprisingly impressive songs and arrangements. Really good band.
- Dave Douglas: I think that people should check out our music because I think it’s a little bit different than people would typically consider a typical pop-punk, kind of post-punk band, especially because of the piano.
- Matt Thiessen: You can call us a Christian band, you can call us a rock and roll band, we can tour with this band, we can tour with that band. But, we don't care, we just write about what we want to write about. Which, most of the time, is our Faith.
- Matt Hoopes: One thing we’ve learned is that there are things that look like great opportunities; but, at the end of the day, they don’t gel with our vision for the band
- Matt Thiessen: Over time, our influences have changed, but also, spiritually, I wanted to write a record that meant a little more to me than earlier stuff.
- Dave Douglas: Making it in the music industry is tough, but I never gave up because because I knew that was what I wanted to do.
- Dave Douglas : If I wasn't pursuing a music career right now, I would probably be pursuing a career as an aircraft pilot.
