The Distillers are the greatest punk-rock band ever, and the reason for their greatness is their front-woman – Brody Dalle. Someone once said about Brody: “she has a voice like a gravel truck with a broken axle, but she never misses a note”. Her voice is unique, as is her fantastic personality. She is a strong woman trying to make things work in a mostly male-dominated industry, and she does a brilliant job of it. There have been rumours flying for quite a long time that The Distillers are breaking up, which have apparently been verified by the band members. This is very sad news for all their fans, but at least we have the consolation that they produced some great material while they were together, that we can listen to whenever we want to.
