Dwight Howard is one of the NBA's bright, young future superstars. He came into the NBA straight out of high school to the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft and continues to play center for them. He is an All-Star game mainstay and is one of the top 5 centers in the NBA. He won the All-Star game slam dunk championship during the 2008 All-Star game. He is one of the leagues better defensive players and is one of the leagues best rebounders, continually to lead the NBA in rebounds. Dwight Howard will continue to be one of the best young players in the NBA for a long time.

I know for a fact that Dwight Howard is going to be one of the best players for the next decade. Why you ask? Because there isn't a center in the league or in college who can stop him from scoring 30, blocking 10, and grabbing 20 rebounds. I think Dwight Howard is by far one of the best players in the league. He will obviously be an all star for years to come and he will probably win a few championships if he has the right talent around him. Dwight Howard is Superman.

All of his dunks tonight in the 2008 Sprite Slam Dunk contest were awesome and all deserved 50's. Well actually, he did get all 50's on the two dunks that the judges were able to grade. This included, his first dunk, when he bounced the ball off some bar behind the basket, jumping up, ducking his head underneath the backboard, bringing the ball with him and dunking the ball one handily. His second dunk, he actually dressed up as Superman, with the suit and cape, and instead of actually dunking it, he was soaring through the air, and just CHUNKED the ball in the basket!

He got a perfect score of 100 going into the final round, where the judges couldn't grade. Only people at home or in the audience could send in their answer by text message. The only thing good about my current cell phone is that I can text for free, and by that, I texted my vote for Dwight Howard.

His first dunk of the final round, third dunk, overall, was when he bounced the ball up in the air, jumped up to the backboard, tipped the ball against the backboard, then with the other hand, grabbed the ball and finished the dunk. His final dunk that really clinched it, was when he attached a smaller basket to the backboard, with a normal sized ball hanging there on the rim, where, in two attempts, was able to grab the ball, and tomahawk slam it in the real basket.

He won the Dunking Contest.

And I am far from over. The Orlando Magic are my favorite team in the Eastern Conference, and Dwight Howard, is not only part of my favorite team from the Eastern Conference, but he is my favorite player from the Eastern Conference. Coming into the All-Star Break, he lead the league with 177 dunks on the season. Not only that, but he can score, he can pass the ball, and don't forget those rebounds. Just the other day, he racked up a month-high in rebounds, 24 boards! Amazing!
