Mel Gibson has to be my favourite actor of all time. He has even got more gorgeous with age. I have often watched a film because he is in it - I obviously enjoy watching him if not always the film, eg., I watched Hamlet and thought he was brilliant but I wouldn't buy that DVD. I have the Mad Max box set but never watch the first one as I feel that is too sad and brutal! It doesn't matter whether he is in a romantic film or a thriller I'll watch it. I was trying to think of my favourite film but it's so hard so I'll list my favourties - Tim, Forever Young (I love him wearing that blue shirt) Braveheart, the Lethal Weapons - I wish they'd made another one! As Director or actor or both he is truly brilliant.

Mel Gibson is truly a talented and creative director, actor, and writer! His films often contain sequences or scenes of action, suspense, or, in a matter of speaking, emotion. His latest film, Apocalypto, has truly had an impact on me. Long before Mr. Gibson made this movie, I had a magnificent interest in the ancient cultures of the Mayans and Aztecs. I hoped one day I could make a movie, but with an adventurous plot such as this. This movie truly made it upon my top ten favorite movies. Mr. Gibson has also done many other movies that I enjoy as well, such as The Patriot, Braveheart, and Passion of The Christ. Honestly, Gibson's films are instant classics.

Mel Gibson is one of the most talented actors I've ever seen on screen in my life. His acting ability extends beyond whatever direction he takes it. He can make you laugh hysterically, cry and sob so hard that you cannot even breathe, or keep you sitting at the very edge of your seat. He brings you right there with him to that time and place of whatever role he is playing with ever part of his being.

As a producer and director he has proved to be just as awesome. Mr. Gibson does his research very thourghly before he does a movie project. I highly commend him on that. He stays true to himself when the world comes against him. I believe he has what it takes to produce and direct the most wonderful movies of his time.

Mel Gibson is an amazing actor. He can play any role at any time and do a great job. He also does a great job directing. Unfortunately, there is a lot of controversy behind him, but am not going to judge his personal life, just his acting, which is amazing. He has more talent that who knows what. My favorite movie he stared in was Braveheart, with the Lethal Weapons and The Patriot also as some of the best he's done. What Women Want was also pretty funny, but it was almost weird to see Mel in a comedy, though he did a good job. Overall, a phenominal actor which should be judged on his acting, not his personnal opinions.

I can respect Mel Gibson as an actor and a director, but I cannot respect him as a person. That aside, I very much enjoy his acting in pretty much every film he's done. He really does make you believe that he is the character that he's playing.
