They can boo you or cheer you on. Inspire them! Hold your head up high and give The Audience an encore, just like Constantine Maroulis! If Constantine was an anime character, he would be a shinobi of the Hidden Sand Village of the popular anime and manga known as Naruto. To wrap up this review, here's a trivia question. I really liked him with his NY city band and went to three of their shows after AI. I never thought I'd be one to follow the Idol's on tour, but I did just to see him. What a fabulous showman! You think that you enjoy watching him on TV, well then a real treat is seeing him live. What energy!

His idol is Jim Morrison. He has two older siblings. His middle name comes from his dad's name, James Constantine. I recently flew across the country to attend Constantine's U.S. solo debut in his home State of New Jersey. I arrived to find the most diverse group of music-lovers imagineable..standing in a freezing wind outside the Starland Ballroom waiting for the chance to get up close and personal with the singer who had managed to reel us all into his world.
Here we were, families with youngsters (like the 5 yr old who can sing every note and word of Bohemian Rhapsody right along with his Dad and Constantine), middle schoolers, teens sporting their favorite Broadway show shirts, women and men of all (and I mean ALL) age groups and musical tastes, and me...a 61 yr old semi-retired foreign language teacher finally loosed from the chains of a role-model classroom life, free to rock out with the best of the young-at-heart!
We were not disappointed! From the high-energy opening 6-song set of classic rock songs, to Christmas ballads, to a medley of songs from his lead Broadway roles, to an eclectic set of American Idol favorites, Constantine rocked us all, backed by an outstanding 8 piece band.
The mom next to me who told me before the curtain opened "I'm only here chaparoning my daughter", left as hoarse as the rest of us..and a new Constantine fan with her parting words: "I had no idea he could SING like that! I think he's the best performer I've ever seen!" And I could not disagree with her.

Constantine Maroulis graced the stage of American Idol in 2005 and entered the homes and hearts of millions of people. While he had an acting and singing career before this, this was his chance to introduce himself to the masses. And that he did! It seems this should have happened years before, but all things happen for a reason and at the right time, so this fan is at peace with that. He connects with his audience in a way unparalleled to any other performer that I have ever seen. I am lucky to have had an opportunity to see him in person, on stage, as well as on TV, and he is simply electrifying and mesmerizing. He has the ability to make a personal connection with each and every person in his audience.

Constantine was in the traveling cast of RENT in 2004, playing the lead role of Roger and he also was the frontman of the NY City rock band "Pray For The Soul of Betty". He graduated from the prestigious Boston Conservatory in 2002, having studied acting and voice.

I think the things most endearing about him are that he has manners and is polite and is a gentleman in every sense of the word. He appears to be humble and gracious. He is a dedicated artist who takes his work very seriously, and I doubt I will ever see anything but the best from him - always. The world needs more people like him.

Not only can he sing and act, but he has an awesome sense of humor and is extremely personable. He also has a style about him that is all his own. He knows who he is, he knows what he wants to accomplish in his life, and I have no doubt he will have it all - very soon.

I hope to see him on TV again . . . soon. I am very excited about the solo CD that he will release sometime this year. He has always been full of surprises and he has always left me wanting more! I expect nothing but greatness from him.

constantine is simply not your typical rocker. and it helped that he looked so hot. here are some of my reasons why i abosolutely adore him:

1. boston conservatory graduate, majored in musical theater (i love songs from musicals)
2. played roger in the broadway musical, rent (i am a self-proclaimed RENT-head)
3. did songs on idol which are not competition staples like bohemian rhapsody, et. al. (others only followed suit)
4. he is greek. (and he looks like a greek god.)
5. there's something in that POUT that disarms even the fiercest of people ('nuff said).

constantine's best idol performance is definitely bohemian rhapsody. my personal favorite idol performance is his take on you made me so very happy. kiss from a rose is also memorable. he also sang i can't make you love me, my all-time favorite song.

Constantine has a unique voice, one that is distinguishable above the others, and I absolutely love his voice in whatever he sings... He is able to perform and mold into all genre with the most fascinating means of capturing your full attention. Your eyes rivet to his every move and when he sings, you feel it is only to one person, you. He compels you to wanting and the need to see and hear more from him. His natural energy sweeps you into his performances with you.

He appears to have a genuine gentle quality and a good heart. He totally loves his audiences. And he is powerful with his dramatics. Comedy is also a natural given for this man. I don't think there is anything to stop him from becoming a major hearthrob and entertainer for many years.
