- Richard was recruited in football for Central Connecticut University. He was sucessful linebacker and fullback. After a two year stint he left the school to established himself as a male model.
- Richard was involved in an on/off relationship with Yasmine Bleeth from 1996 - 1997 and again 1998 - 2000.
- Richard received "Male Star of Tomorrow" award in 1991 from the National Association of Theater Owners(NATO).
- Richard recorded and released 2 songs in Germany (1994) “Voice with no name” and "Waiting for the sky to fall”. He was signed by Edel Records Company.
