If I could, I would have Cesar Millan come to my house and help with my dogs. He is, quite simply, brilliant and amazing. It's wonderful to see him work, not only with pets, but with their owners as well. I am impressed with his endless patience. Some of the pets he encounters seem beyond redemption. Some of the owners he encounters seem too idiotic for words. Cesar's show, The Dog Whisperer, has helped me understand my dogs better. He has this uncanny ability to make every thing my dogs do make sense. I've tried some his less risky techniques with my dogs and they work. One day I will have him come to my house and help me train my dogs properly. I think Cesar Millan is wonderful. :)

Cesar Millan is the host of Dog Whisperer and he really does a great job. He brings his knowledge of dogs and what they need to the show and it's very educational to watch. I love dogs. I love how he has like a ton of dogs and a lot of them were rescues. He really teaches people how to train their dogs and treat their dogs how they need to be treated. He is also pretty funny and his hair is just wacky. Overall, great host and just an overall great guy and I really think he will open people's eyes so they'll treat their animals better and not look at steryotypes.

In the course of his show and in his fieldwork, Cesar Millan has clearly made a positive impact on many households, and he prides himself on the fact that he has saved the lives of many dogs deemed too aggressive to be rehabilitated. However, his work would be stronger if it included more scientific scrutiny and explanation of his techniques, not just for the sake of his nonspecialist television audience, but to be taken seriously by animal professionals as well.

I love watching the Dog Whisperer and watching Cesar do his work on dogs. The way he uses Behavioral and Evolutionary Psychology is so amazing, I can't believe he never went to college to learn this stuff. His methods make a lot of sense and I have to say that I love how he makes the owners look like idiots (although, he doesn't do it intentionally). The owners are always at fault, and of course they don't know better most of the time, but it's still amusing to see them treat their dogs like children instead of animals at the beginning. Of course, animals should always be treated with respect but they also have needs, as Cesar preaches, for exercise, discipline and then affection. I've changed the way I approach dogs because of Cesar. I let them come up to me and smell me before I pet them. Whenever I have a dog of my own I'm going to follow Cesar's methods.

He got to the US when he was only twenty one years old, without knowing a word in English. He got to San Diego illegally and worked in odd jobs. He wanted to work in a dog pound, and when he met two women who worked in a grooming shop, he was in luck. He impressed the two women when he showed them how well he could groom dogs using scissors instead of machines. Over time, the women grew fond of Cesar, and developed such a strong trust for him that he earned half the grooming shop’s wages! Just a while later, Cesar moved to Los Angeles, where he soon started training dogs while owners washed their cars in a car wash. Over time, he started his dog whispering. One day, Jada Pinkett asked Cesar for help. What he didn’t know was that Jada Pinkett was a famous actress. When she got engaged to Will Smith, Smith then took his dogs to Cesar as well. Among the celebrities who have asked Cesar for help are Vin Diesel, Nicholas Cage, and Hillary Duff. His abilities caught the attention of television producers, and he got his own show, The Dog Whisperer. He’s been invited and has gone to the Oprah Winfrey show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Cesar Millan is an exceptional example of what a newcomer to the states can do, if they persevere.
