After a happy childhood in England, Bill went on to become a presenter of the BBC's Breakfast show, after previously appearing as a reporter since 1988. He then appeared on the third series of Strictly Come Dancing perhaps hoping to follow in co-host Natasha Kaplinsky's footsteps.

During his free time he likes to look after his chickens and his four bee hives.
