- The song Prayer is about a conversation between lead singer David Draiman and God after the death of Draiman's grandfather.
- Disturbed performed on Spike TV Guys Choice Awards on June 22, 2008.
- Two of Disturbed's music videos, "Prayer" and "Inside the Fire" were banned from TV. "Prayer" for having scenes which resembled 9/11 and "Inside the Fire" for showing the band playing in blood and a woman who kills herself. "Inside the Fire" has been re-edited twice, once that cuts out all scenes with the woman and the second one which also cuts out the blood. The music video has sense re-appeared on TV.
- In 2002, Disturbed started their own tour called Music as a Weapon. The title of the tour is taken from their song "Droppin' Plates". They have since had two more tours, Music as a Weapon II and III with a possible IV this summer. Music as a Weapon II was turned into a live CD/DVD. In each tour, a few bands accompany them.
- Disturbed's mascot who started out simply as a smile and later turned into a person, is refered to David as "The Guy" has appeared on two albums (Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible) along with the music video for Land of Confusion. "The Guy" is easily recognized by his ripped clothes and chains hanging off his body. His hood also masks his face.
- Disurbed's new album Indestructible was their third straight album to debut #1 in the U.S. The other two were their 2002's Believe and 2005's Ten Thousand Fists.

- Disturbed was nominated and won an award for the most ballsiest band category on the Guy's Choice Awards on Spike TV.
- Disturbed supplied the song Stricken for WWE New Years Revolution 2006.
- Disturbed's original bassist Steve Kmak (Fuzz) left the band in early 2003 because of personal reasons. After Steve left, he was replaced by Matt Konopinski very briefly who was eplaced by Disturbed's current bassist John Moyer.
- The music video for the song Stricken, from Disturbed's album Ten Thousand Fists, was filmed in an abandoned hospital where parts of the film A Nightmare On Elm Street were filmed.
- In April, 2006, Disturbed completed an Australian tour supporting KoRn and sharing the tour with Ten Years and Hatebreed.
- Disturbed headlined Ozzfest 2006 along with the band System of a Down (S.O.A.D).

- When Disturbed comes out on stage. David Draiman would wear a straight jacket and get zapped in an electric chair as part of their stage act.

- David Draiman: We probably have too much melody going on or we're not quite as turbulent or caustic. While I really love that type of music, it's not what we try to do. If we had to place things in context, we're more hard rock than heavy metal these days.
