Siu Ta lives in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a honors B.A. in Drama & History and also spent two years of acting training at George Brown Theatre School. On screen Siu is best known to Canadian audiences as “Nancy Dao”, the feisty articling student turned criminal defense lawyer in three seasons of This is Wonderland (CBC). John Doyle of the Globe & Mail (Canada's national newspaper) writes: "By the way, I don't think that Siu Ta has gotten the recognition she deserves for outstanding work as Nancy, the oddball scold of a lawyer, who often has the best lines in the series." She is best known to American audiences as "Cindy Kim" in Harold & Kumar go to Whitecastle (Senator Int’l). Other film/tv credits include The Art of Woo (CFC Feature Film Project) and Leap Years (Showtime). Siu won a Best Actress award at the Hart House Film Festival for her work in God’s Goodness. On stage Siu has acted in Soap Opera (Art in a Cup), Story of a Comfort Girl (Alumnae New Ideas) and Jishin (Danger Girl Productions). Last spring Siu acted on stage in the world premier of Hana's Suitcase at the Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for young people. Siu is honored that Dave Sim, renowned comic artist of Cerebus fame has chosen a few of her production stills to create a short comic strip called Siu Ta so Far. Recently she played "Cynthia Song" in six episodes of The Best Years, a new tv series that will broadcast on The "N" in the states & Global Television in Canada. The 13 one-hour drama series is about first-year students at a fictional Boston university. The Canadian premier on Global is scheduled for Tuesday May 22 at 10pm.In other words She's great!!!!!!!!!
