Lonely kid, Carole Bouquet rather liked going to museums and to the cinema where she discovered Bunuel beside going to high school.


After her graduation, she studied philosophy at La Sorbonne but entered at le Conservatoire Supérieur d'Art Dramatique of Paris, Bunuel saw her and proposed her a role in Cet obscur objet du désir with Angela Molina.


She then filmed with Roger Moore in a James Bond: For your eyes only (1981).


She was nominated for the best supporting role in 1985 for Rive droite, rive gauche with Gérard Depardieu.


She won the César of the best actress in 1989 for Trop belle pour toi with Josiane Balasko.
