Nece has studied with Second City, and is a freelance writer for the National Lampoon Network, and a contributing writer to the National Lampoon website, where she has her very own column, "Suzy's Tips." Recent Lampoon projects include: National Lampoon's Greek Games for the Game Show Network, Strip Poker, The Pitch and Crash.
She is the writer and producer of the comedic short films Women with Beards and Cartoon Heroine. Other film credits include: Francesca Page, starring Varla Jean Merman, which graced Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals, Black Eyed Dog, which opened the Boston Film Festival and other "movies" shot in a van with a camcorder and midgets.
Nece wrote, produced and performed in the sketch show, "Grit, Tit and Wit" at the HBO Workspace, Improv Olympic, The Court and Hudson Theaters. Her performance piece, "Stalls: Life in the Toilet," was awarded a creative grant by Judson Church, where it was presented in NYC at Judson and St Mark's; as well as, in San Francisco at the Cable Car Theater and Venue Nine, where she produced an on going Women's Series and New Playwrights Series.
She has toured nationally, with the New York based, Bessie Award winning, Jane Comfort and Company, with whom she performed at such venues as, PS122, The Joyce, Playhouse 91, City Center and Carnegie Hall, and danced with renowned choreographer Bill T. Jones, to name a few. Nece received her BFA in Dance/Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University, which is a fancy way of saying GED.
