Bishop Fulton J. Sheen was born in 1895 and was raised as a Roman Catholic. Before anyone even thinks of forming the idea "pedophile" in their heads, consider this: 1895. Though no generation in history can be thought of as being exempt from such crimes, it is the sensationalism of such crimes which affects the mass opinion of society. All things being equal, Bishop Sheen comes from a different time, a more innocent and devout time. Most of his time as a priest and a good portion of his bishopric occurred before the Vatican II Council, arguably the most controversial change in the history of the Roman Catholic church.

Bishop Sheen is a remarkable testimony to the wisdom of the old-school Catholic teachings.
