Spenny Rice was born in Toronto. He´s a stress case who sees life as a never ending struggle with himself and the world. At a young age his parents divorced and he went to live with his mother in California, where his mother was a recurring actress in the hit series Dallas.

When he was older he went to study at York University, and while he was there he made a small documentary called Telewhore about a sex phone girl, also the documentary was shown at The Toronto International Film Festival and was sold to Channel Four in Britain.

Later in life with his childhood friend Kenny Hotz made a script about two filmmakers called Pitch and that script evolved in the series Kenny Vs. Spenny
