It has been an exciting few years for Richard, working on Coronation Street, and Soapstar Superstar. This year Richard has been writing his debut album which is out in November called 'Neon'. The lead single is called 'Coming Down' and it's out November 19th.

The album was recorded at Kensaltown studios and it has a very live feel. It's difficult to pigeon hole the album. The music is very blues and rock influenced and has quite an acoustic sound. You can hear the first single now on Myspace as well as being kept up to date with TV appearances and tour-dates etc.;

Don't get me wrong, he is a good soap actor and he can sing... but he is actually kinda boring to watch. It was obvious, even before it started, that he was going to win soapstar Superstar because he is good looking. And because everyone rants about his cool looks, you can't take him seriously when he is acting and you just end up laughing at him or rolling your eyes thinking "God! he's been on corrie long enough!!". And the ways he talks is like waiting for answers to come out of 'Lost'.... each word is drawn out and so slow "I........ Love....... You....... Rosie........"
To sum up.... "YAWN"

The bigest dream i would love to live is meeting richard i would love to see him when he came into the corrie set i had just recovered and got the all clearer of a tumour behind my right eye and know i am blind in my right eye after having the operation on it i was in a hospital for 1 month and still had to recover at home then thats when i started to watch alot more corronation street and when richard got brought on to corrie i havent missed any episodes.he is gorgeous vickie xxxxxxxxx

Also, his amazing singing voice and performance skills meant that he was a thoroughly deserving winner of Soapstar Superstar! Not only that he is absolutely downright gorgeous!
