Bio

Evanescence (ev'e-nes'ens) are a female fronted gothic-rock band from Little Rock, Arkansas.

They were formed in 1994, when Ben Moody (ex-guitarist) and Amy Lee (lead vocals) met at camp. Amy was singing Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love" on piano, when Ben discovered her talent.

As of 2009, Evanescence have released two studio albums, one demo album, three EP's and one live album.
