Ashley Parker Angel was born Ashley Ward Parker on August 1, 1981 in Redding, California. He then inherited his stepfather's surname, Angel. His parents' names are Ronald and Paula.
Ashley attended Shasta College. His mother, a piano teacher, began teaching him to play that instrument when he was five years old. He went on to play the lead in high school productions of Harvey and Grease.
He has had several voice acting jobs for video games and was once a lifeguard. On the ABC TV series Making The Band, he was one of the final five and so became a member of the pop group O-Town.
