I have been reading his books ever since I got "Thomas the Tank Engine: The New Collection" and he is very good, he followed the stories at good time, it was sad when the series ended until 2007 when "Thomas and Victora" and all the stories got a re release and were put into a nice big collection, and I say he must continue, unless he wants to and Egmont again is being rude to him again. I am very sorry "Barry the Rescue Engine" and that the Rev. W. V. Awdry had died the year after Chris wrote "New Little Engine". Hopefully, Ivo Hugh will get enough spotlight to know his persona and if he can publish and write some more books, with his great illustrator, Clive Spong.

He started off falling ill at young age. So his father read him stories about trains and soon started writing about this train named Edward, and made up some stories called The Railwasy Series, and published them. But soon his Father died. But Christopher kept on writing them. And then it came to TV. His very famous books came to TV. Chris is still alive today, his pic is on Wiki. Well, i'm preety sure he must be proud of his work. And maybe his father is too. Well the TV series has gone downhill, the old one still rocks. Long live Christopher Awdry!

After the twenty sixth book in the Railway Series, Tramway Engines, the Rev. Awdry couldn't handle the task of writing any more books. So, his son Christopher took up the challenge! His first book, Really Useful Engines, made him well known and his later books helped grow his popularity. I found his stories interesting. Pip and Emma was a good creation in my opinion and he managed to bring back the Small Railway engines. However, some of his stories have rather unrealistic happenings in them. In the Jock the Small Engine book, one story had a train stay together with paper mache? Despite some strange happenings, Christopher produced some great stories that would have made his father proud.
