David Mitton was a great man. He was the best director for both "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends" and "TUGS". Unfortunately, he will missed by all of us Thomas fans. R. I. P. David Mitton. You will never be forgotten.

I miss him alot, and he was a very nice director for Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, and TUGS! He was also a very inspiring man to live on this earth. R.I.P. David Mitton. July 13th 1938-May 28th 2008. He died from a heart attack he had last week sadly. It was great that he was getting ready to help the infamous TUGS DVD campaign. We all want TUGS to come in America in it's orginal form. Also, when he directed Thomas, he didn`t stop until 2004, a new and sad era for TTTE. But we will always remember him in our hearts. Goodbye David Mitton!!!!

David Mitton was model maker, best known for creating a TV Series of Thomas the Tank Engine and Tugs. He retired a few years later. Mitton was in contact with a friend of mine, and today, he died. Mitton's death has been hard on every Thomas fan, but he will be in our hearts forever. Every Thomas and Tugs fan loved him, and probably still will untill our death day. If it weren't for him, there would be no Television series of Thomas, and no such thing as Tugs. Farewell David, you were truly a great man.

If you are reading this, then you probably know who David Mitton is. He is the man behind the camera of the first seven season of Thomas the Tank Engine. When the show first started in 1984, David filmed every episode in the first season and then filmed season two in 1986, and both were well done. But in 1989, Britt Alcroft, the producer, was working on the American part of the show and David, with fellow worker Robert Cardona, started up TUGS, which was brought out by Britt Alcroft so that they would work on season three. David filmed Thomas and the Magic Railroad, which was mainly Thomas' downfall, and left two seasons after the movie. Som of David's best work has been in Season Four and The Flying Kipper in Season One and it is sad he has left the show he helped to create.
