He plays the Red Wiggle on the popular Australian TV Kids show, The Wiggles. He, Anthony, and Greg started the Wiggles as an extension of a university project in Early Childhood Education.

After graduating from Macquarie University, Murray was a music teacher at a local school, and even taught pre-school at Macquarie, but it was clear the Wiggles would be his calling, as he is one of the founding members.

Murray lives in Sydney with his wife and two children.
