My brother recently got me into Mitch Hedburg. I had never heard of him or his comedy up to that point. I can't believe how I ever missed him. He is so hilarious and some of his jokes have almost literally brought me to tears. Mitch's style is quite different from other comedians. He kinda seems to just say whatever comes to mind, whether it really makes sense or not. Most of his jokes are short, one-liners that often play on words. You'll often find yourself thinking that he's very clever, or find yourself saying "Wow, I never looked at it that way!" He had heart problems and unfortunately a drug problem that eventually led to his death, right before his career could have taken off. It's too bad because I think Mitch's career was just getting started and he could've been one of comedy's all-time greats. Oh wait, maybe he is anyway.

mitch hedberg once said "I don't have a girlfriend, I just know a girl who would be really mad if she heard me say that." which is somthing I can relate to in a very relistic way. I have dreams of becoming a stand-up comic but as far as one liners go I dont think I could possibly come with anything as great as mitch did. "I once got into a fight with a girl from inside a tent, thats a bad place for a fight, cause then I tried to walk out and slam the flap. How are you supposed to express your anger in this sittuation? zipper it up real quick?" rest in peace mitch and thank you for the good times.

Mitch Hedberg (1968-2005) was one of the greatest comedians of all time that came out in the 2000s, before Lazy Sunday and Blue Collar TV. He knows how to make everything sarcastic and at least try to make it funny, unlike Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor. He's also one of those comedians that died of a overdose. It's just so sad that he had to die so soon. I wanted to see him in "Code: Lyoko" or "The Simpsons" as a guy who s Jane's Addiction for some reason. Let me quote him just one more time: "Every book is a children's book if the child knows how to read."

I think that Mitch Hedburg is extremly funny. His mello mood and voice combined with the awesome jokes just makes this whole bowl of funny. I'm suprised that i had not heard of him for a while because he's better then most comedians that are out. He's quite under rated, Not many people know about him. But me and my freind have been talking about him in school getting them into him too. Mitch Hedburgs jokes really can make anyone laugh no matter what kind of comedy thier into. It's a shame that Mitch passed away, May he rest in peace.

Mitch Hedberg, I didn't know much about him until recently. It's quite wierd actually, didn't find out about him until after his death, and only found out tonight after doing a search to find out who the guy was at the Hub in That 70s Show. I came across him during a search for Stephen Lynch, previously my favourite comedian. But Mitch was so talented, and his simple style that went over a lot of people's heads just made me crack up. When I first started watching him, I personally had to go back and watch it again to get the full hilarity of the joke, but after that I got used to it, and I couldn't stop watching him. It's such a shame he went way too soon, and it's even more of a shame that it took me so long to realise.

But I just watched him doing a small shot on the BBC, and I saw just a slightly bewildered, not-out-of-the-ordinary comic whose stuff just wasn't going over with an admittedly-Brit audience. I join in lamenting his early death -- it's taken so many of my favorites, from Lenny Bruce to Sam Kinison -- but I ask, out of curiousity, where I can find some of his really good material so I can properly assess the potential he may not have fulfilled.

One of my top 5 comedians of all time, and the one I most quote in regular day life. Mitch was a love I shared with many people and one I loved to tell people about. I could listen to Mitch's albums and watch live videos of him performing countless times and still will laugh until in tears. He was a genius of our time and we lost him way too soon. His humour could be enjoyed by many people, but some others may find it stupid and the point of the joke will go over their heads. But these people don't know when to stoop their "mighty intelligence" and enjoy someone as simplistic as Mitch. Rest in Peace.
