I admit to only having seen the work of Alex Cappelli in the feature film Hating Alison Ashley, in which he played Barry Hollis (the 'bad boy' of the class and love interest of the main character, Erica Yurken).

At first I was annoyed by the larger role given to the character of Barry Hollis as, in the book and play he is not featured so prominently...and certaintly not as a love interest!

As the movie went on, however I decided that the change is Barry's position within Erica's life was well thought out and well planned and that the actor playing him was doing a thoroughly good job. He knew who is character was, where he was coming from and where he was going.

I believe, through later viewing some of his other performances that he a talented actor and deserves to go and be very successful in his field!

Although the movie was not brilliant, I think he played a large part in making it watchable.

New to Australian TV and film, Alex is making a name for himself.

From guest roles in Australian series Blue Heelers and Stingers, his first major role came in the movie "Hating Alison Ashley". While the movie wasn't the best, he did do a great performance.

His role in "Little Oberon" was small and I felt he should have been in more scenes. His character of Pan (amongst other names) was new and proved that Alex could play a bad character as well as a good one. In this role of Pan he acted out the very essense of the character and bought him to life.

Hopefully his career will continue to grow as he becomes more well-known.
