- Allison: Kristin [Kreuk] is probably more family than a friend. No, we're very, very, very close and we've been through a lot together.
- Allison Mack: (in a 2008 blog entry) I am 26, I love to act, I am getting wrinkles on my forehead, my arms are still not as toned as I would like and I have a small pot belly. I love movies, plays, music, and art and I love to eat ice cream out of the carton.
- Allison Mack: I never make myself any promises because I have a tendency to change my mind.
- Allison Mack: I don't see myself moving back to Los Angeles right away just because I'm ready for a new adventure. Vancouver is great, and I'm so happy here, but I'm ready to be challenged, and I know that if I put myself in a situation where I don't know anybody and I have very few comforts that it would be really great.
- Allison Mack: I grew up on Smallville, you know. I started the show when I was 18, and I'm 24, and you do a lot of changing in those years. I think maybe I learned more about myself and who I am. The cast and crew have been such an incredible support system with me while I figure out what is important to me. And Kristin has been a huge influence on me and the fashioning of my ideas in regard to the world. Tom's been an incredible friend, teaching me I can do anything and learn anything. I learned a lot from those two.
- Allison Mack: (about her character Chloe on "Smallville") I love how tenacious she is. And I love how loyal she is, and trustworthy, and intelligent, and brave, like, she's SO brave. She's so brave, and she does these outrageous things because of her commitment to her best friend, and I think that's so honorable, and I love the fact that she's a woman in a man's world and she doesn't let that stop her... In every aspect, in journalism and in the hero world. She's a really strong girl, and she holds her own, and I think that that's pretty awesome.
- Allison Mack: I think it's really incredible. We're such separatists in this society, everyone's such an individualist, that we forget that the most powerful way we can live our lives is if we stick within the community. So when you come together as a community to achieve one specific goal, it's really just a beautiful thing.
- Allison Mack: (in a 2008 interview) I've been acting for twenty-two years. And I love film so much and I love the whole process of making film, this is just sort of the next step of understanding it on a deeper level. I always want to be telling stories in whatever fashion I can and directing is really just understanding learning a different element of that storytelling process.
- Allison Mack: What song do I like to sing at karaoke? Well, it used to be –- what's that song? Holy crap, I can't remember the song... what was that I used to sing - "Any Man Of Mine" - a country song.
- Allison Mack: (referring to "Smallville") Well, for season four, I would say I had the most fun doing "Devoted" where I was the psychotic cheerleader, because it was the most sort of wild and out there and I could be, like, really crazy and do something totally different. So that was the most fun. But I think the most interesting for my character was the episode "Pariah", where I find out Clark's secret. I think it was just a really interesting introduction to something new for me to play.
- Allison Mack: I have a hard time standing still when people are looking at me. That's why photo shoots never work out very well. I don't like them unless I'm with a really great photographer who can make me feel really comfortable.
- Allison Mack: Diane Hardin encouraged me to laugh from my toes and color outside all the lines.
- Allison Mack: I've always been taught 'Don't go on the internet!' because if someone says something mean about you—as an actor, we're so neurotic. Our egos are so fragile that someone can say twenty nice things about you, but the one person that says something bad, that's the one you remember. So I hadn't really started even looking at the internet web sites until my agent called and told me, 'You know, you should really check this out. It's so cool. Go look at it.' And wow!
- Allison Mack: DC bought my character. They bought me-which is kind of neat. My character has never been done before [Smallville]. I'm the original. So anybody who does Chloe after me - I'm the prototype.
- Allison Mack: Although I began acting when I was a child I didn't really think about it as a profession until I was around 15. When I was younger I was definitely afraid of kissing boys, so I didn't want to become an actress because I didn't want to have to do those types of scenes. Instead, I was interested in becoming a veterinarian, a marine biologist, a dolphin trainer and then a director. However, the older I got, the more I realized that I had a real passion for acting. I thought if I had the opportunity to do what I loved most and make a living doing it, then why not? So I decided to go for it and I'm so happy that I did.
- Allison Mack: My very first job was a commercial for German chocolate and it was all in German. The thing that still sticks out in my mind most about it was I wasn't allowed to swallow the chocolate. I would take a bite and then at the end of every take I'd have to spit it out. That was very frustrating especially for a kid.
