Interesting stuff.  So, now the major question hits: Who is going to direct The Avengers?  Jon Favreau was by far the favorite considering he delivered Marvel their very own Dark Knight, but there are other Marvel alum who might be considered.  Louis Leterrier, director of The Incredible Hulk, might have a shot.  Bryan Singer helmed the X-Men series through two very successful films, and he wants back into the Marvel club.  Sam Raimi has at least 3 Spider-Man movies in his future, so he seems an unlikely choice as a director for The Avengers

So, what about other directors out there who could fill the bill?  Mark Millar, writer of the Ultimate version of The Avengers, has been pretty complimentary to Matthew Vaughn, his director on Kick-Ass.  Could we be seeing this team come to The Avengers.  We know that Millar and Vaughn were both lobbying pretty heavily for Superman, and that’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
