Bryan Singer wants to make another 'X-Men'?

After famously leaving the franchise for 'Superman Returns', director Bryan Singer is now 'talking' with Fox about a return to the X-Men franchise.

From the Associated Press:

The American director made "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United," but passed on the third installment so he could make "Superman Returns." "Rush Hour" director Brett Ratner ended up shooting that film, "X-Men: The Last Stand." South African filmmaker Gavin Hood made another spin-off, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which was released earlier this year.

"I'm still looking to possibly returning to the 'X-Men' franchise. I've been talking to Fox about it," Singer said at a talk at South Korea's Pusan International Film Festival.

Bryan Singer has been publicly pitching many ideas since the release, and relative failure, of Superman Returns, and even more since Valkyrie.  Everything from a Superman sequel, to 'Logan's Run', to a new sequel to the un-reimagined 'Battlestar Galactica' have been pitched through the media by the director in recent years, with little success in the greenlight department.

Next up for Bryan Singer is a remake of John Boorman's stylish Camelot reimagining, 'Excalibur', and then possibly his take on 'Battlestar Galactica'.
