'Venom' movie is slowly moving ahead

MTV talked with writer Paul Wernick about his various projects including 'Venom'!

From MTV:

"We've written two drafts of 'Venom,' and the studio has it, and they're pushing forward in whatever ways they push forward," said "Venom" co-writer Paul Wernick in an interview with SciFi Wire.

Alongside Rhett Reese, Wernick co-wrote both "Venom" and the upcoming "Zombieland," which Marvel fans can look towards for an idea of "Venom's" quality. Sadly, it might be a little while before Venom himself actually graces the big screen, as Wernick was unsure of when the film would begin production.

As the co-writer of the film, Wernick is clearly privy to "Venom's" story details, including how Spider-Man fits into the big picture if he's in it at all—but don't expect the scribe to spill the beans on that front, either.

"We can't really talk about that, unfortunately," Wernick said. "Basically, the studio and Marvel and the Arads are taking our drafts and going beyond and figuring out what's the next step."
