Conceptually this movie seemed like it had intriguing potential. Unfortunately, it ended up just being absurd. That would suggest I hated it but I didn't. It was bad because of it's unsatisfying resolution, but some of the disaster scenes are pretty awesome so that makes up for it in parts. I wouldn't recommend anyone bother with it, but it entertained me.

Nicolas Cage is such a hammy actor, if you're able to just accept that as the status quo you'll be okay. If not, this movie will annoy the hell out of you and the ending will only infuriate you more. It was better than Ghost Rider at least...

Knowing was a pretty good movie. The plot seemed a bit lacking to me like it was missing lots of pieces. I wasn't disappointed that I went to go see it, but I wasn't 100% happy about it. The special effects were amazing, especially the plane crash; and Nicolas Cage did an excellent job in this movie. The thing that discouraged me most of all was how the movie ended. I was very surprised and felt that the ending to this movie was total "rubbish". I think that there were a lot of things that could have been changed in the story that would have made this a better movie. I don't want to give anything away, so I won't say some of my suggestions.

Not what I expected but I'm not disappointed. A lot of traumatizing scenes. Reminds me of The Day after Tomorrow although the plot are not very alike.

  Knowing has about a half-dozen screenwriter credits, which may explain why scenes crash up against one another - smart, stupid, far-fetched, compelling. And the trouble is that Cage walks (or runs) through them all, treating each with the same level of intensely goofy seriousness.
