Not sure why they wanted this to go to theaters, but it's not horrid at least. Let's face facts, it not a movie as much as it's the start of the show and for that it works fine, I'm just not sure why they thought it would work in theaters.

As for it overall, I'd have to say that I'd much rather have had the first Clone Wars show by the maker of Samurai Jack.

Ignore the critics. This is a great movie for huge, huge, Star Wars fans. It has old style star wars fun! And it has the awesome characters voiced by good voice actors including Ashley Drane (Ahsoka Tano), Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan), Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), and Anthony Daniels (Same guy as C-3P0). This movie is great. NOTE: If you like blu-ray players, watch this movie on Blu-Ray disc for realisticness and perfect quality.

if you're a kid, you'll like it. if you're a Star Wars, you're better off watching those 5 minute clips that used to show on cartoon network.

good animation movie and I am a huge fan of star wars so this was awsome and it was a good start to the new tv series but i dont think its as epic as the actuel movies but it was pretty exciting and some parts were funny

Its not a 7th Star Wars movie, get over it. As a massive Star Wars fan I was a little unsure what this would be like and approached the concept of an animated movie with some trepidation. Once I got over the lack of crawl and the awful introductory voice-over this movie reeled me in hook line and sinker. For the next 90 minutes I was treated to some of the best stylised animation I've seen in a long while, bristling with non-stop action and peril. Its Star Wars.. but skewed and from a different angle. Superb.

Hardly good enough to even carry the name Star Wars. The worst SW production since the infamous holiday special with Chewbaccas Family. This just didnt feel like SW to me, its was more of a kiddy show. For 1 thing Anakin's voice and personality is differnt from the films. Obi wan's charcter is much too starightedge , his dialouge is disgustingly formulaic. Honestly the things he says and way he says them, it sounds like a robot or computer talking. I pretty much suffered through this movie. The newest Jedi Shoka, is the most annoying and insulting representation of a Jedi, she sounds worse than a 13 year old girl on mtv. It makes me want to puke. How could they have found a voice so egotistical and blatantly irritating. Everytime she thinks I feel like shes going to talk about the shopping mall or her nails. There was nothing significant about this movie, the plot failed to entertain me, and the action was weak in comparrison with what weve already seen from the cartoon.
A poor poor excuse for a SW film.
