Ok so Hancock, is it just me or has it been advertised for ages. Anyway that was a bit off topic, so I went to the movies and before the film I had heard some good things about Will Smith's and Jason Bateman's performances in the movie and I have to say they where both great in this. I also thought this would just be a good popcorn film and I have to say it is better than that this film was really entertaining and it was really funny in most parts. I think one of the best things about it was the script and the three leading actors were great. I usual Will Smith was great as expected and I was happy to see Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) had a major role in the film, his character was really funny, Charlize Theron also impressed me. This movie was great and it left us with hopefully a possible sequal. One critism I had with the film was that I expected there to be more action but there wasn't that much. Overal decent movie and I hope to see a Hancock 2 in the future. 4 Stars

Surprisingly unusual superhero movie, possibly all the more enjoyable because of that. Not really what I expected but I loved it nevertheless. Good characterisation and acting and an original script...

I know romance is common in other movies but the involvement of "immortality" here made the movie "jump the shark".

Hancock is not as good as The Dark Knight or Iron man but still is a pretty good movie. The effects were good stoyline lacked in some parts but other wise i liked this movie.

It was a good film... but it lacked plot. The storyline seemed very jumpy. Good comic moments, with Will Smith bringing a good light hearted feel to the film. Other than that the film lacks something to make it a summer blockbuster. Will Smith brings a good performance as always. With his comic timing. But the film has nothing to really grab you. I think the trailers are misleading for this film. The trailers show it as a action movie, but it turns out to be a romantic comedy, and has a love story in it.

The film starts well but as i said before the plot seems to be jumpy. Ya get the action and comedy in the first half hour. After that ya see the hero rise from the ashes. For some reason I then could see how the film would fill the alotted 90mins of show time. It then changed to a love story. It just didnt seem to make sense.

To sum up it is a good light hearted family film for kids to watch. But it could have had something more.

I have a totaly different opinion about this movie. I instead think that the first half of the movie was the better half. Simply because it had a lot more humor and better storytelling.

I have a totaly different opinion about this movie. I instead think that the first half of the movie was the better half. Simply because it had a lot more humor and better storytelling.
What didn´t I like about this movie? well, first of I didn´t like the directing, it was way to shaky and confusing for this kind of movie. I allso felt that the script was very empty, they could have builded more on the character of Hancock instead of showing of effects that doesnt even look good IMO. The dialogue was flat as well and the plot was so short it felt that it was over too fast.
As I said the second half of the movie takes a totaly new direction and its over before you have anytime to get it in. Will Smith is a good actor, he plays the role relativly well, allthough its probably not a very hard role to play (Im not saying anything).
To sum it all up Hancock is another of the movies that will entertain you. But certanly nothing you´ll remember in 10 years. it, like all movies released right now, falls into the shadow of The Dark Knight (That´s a nice line) and dont leave me touched at all. Sorry Smith, but you´ve done better.
