The action is good, but that is just about all this movie has to offer. Overall: A cheesy movie that relies solely on action to attract audiences.

This movie was a non-stop action with Great cast. By the way Dennis Quaid did a great job playing Hawk. The storyline was good. I enjoy every minute of it. I can't wait for the sequel. I don't often use the phrase "crap sandwich", but i feel it accurately describes the G.I. Joe movie. While i didn't really go in expecting much, but it somehow dropped below my expectations. First off I will say that the plot had some potential, not that it could have been great but it could have been ok. But really the plot felt like it was just there to give a reason for the special effects to be there. Now the special effects were great, but you cant build a movie purely on special effects. it's like filling a cup with icing and calling it a cupcake. by the way, if the razzies did a worst movie with best special effects award, this would definitely win. the action could have been choreographed much better because it feels like watching the old power ranger show from the 90s. the costume design and other design elements felt like they looked at the most successful video games of the past couple years and said "hey that looks cool, let's throw it in." examples would be the suits seem like they ripped off crysis, the enemy soldiers look like they were taken from the main characters of army of two, and i could waste more space on saying what else they ripped off but i still have to ridicule the rest of this. The acting was stiff as a board and the parts that were supposed to be dramatic just kinda made me laugh, which i'm not sure i've ever giggled at a funeral scene that wasnt meant to be funny but the one in this movie is possibly the most cliche one you'll ever see. the wrong actors were chosen for the characters they played, but if you put a few in different parts they might have been fine. throw in some badly placed but funny catch phrases from the cartoon in such as "knowing is half the battle" and there is the crap sandwich called GI joe. all in all this is just a long toy commercial that i would have been better off never seeing.

Well, this is a summer action film, and if you go in for that, you won't be disappointed. If your looking for a movie with top notch acting or well a well devolved plot, you'll be disappointed, though if you came into a GI Joe movie for those two...

Ok, the movie is lacking in many ways, but watchable for the most part.

This was a terrible movie and I was extremely disappointed. I give credit on the ad campaign and will not support the sequel.

I'm a G.I. Joe fan (not hardcore mind you) I always loved the toy figures, cartoon show, video games (NES and Konami arcade game), but most of all the comic book series thats still going. I had sceptism over this film but I was plesently supprised, it turned out to be a good action film (in my book anyway)it's no masterpiece but it doesn't have to be.

I'll be brief, the action is good there is some stunt work and yeah there was some CGI effects as well I thought some of it was good not too shabby in some places, so it didn't ruin the film for me. They defenantly had the vehicles for both the Joes and Cobras which were always one of the best things about the franchise, so liked how they were designed.

The plot was decent, it was nothing really special it's your typical take over the world plot, though plot wasn't always what G.I. Joe was known for anyway.

But the best part is of course the characters, I really like how they handled them. Yes it is true there were some liberties taken in the storyline which I acutally found interesting so most of them were acceptable, well except one I didn't like the fact Scarlett and Ripcord are paired up I thoght they were mismatched, it was always Scarlett and Snake Eyes how can it be so hard to handle honestly.

Loved Snake Eyes (Ray Park) he was awdsome as usual didn't disaponint me which is good cause he's my favorate character in the comic series, I hope in the sequel there will be more of him. Same with Scarlett (Rachel Nicols) hot, feisty, and uses that crossbow well which they actually made a cooler and eficent weapon. Ripcord I thought was ok, he was never really my favorate character in the series anyway. Storm Shadow was also awdsome and my favorate bad guy in the series. Same with Destro and Zartan just well cast and performed in my opinion anyway.

Though the ones that stood out the most for me were Cobra Comander (Joseph Gordon Levett from 500 Days of Summer film I reviewed) I thought he did well defenantly nailed the voice and manerism. Cobra Comander was well Cobra Comander, he had that sinister manerism and was actually a bit creepy; is smart but at the same time insane.

Duke (Chaning Tatium) and Baroness (Siena Miller) both were done well but had even more persona and some emotion. Though what makes the two interesting is just the complecation they added which was the two were lovers one time. Yes I know that seems like a crazy idea since the two never hooked up in both the cartoon and comic book series but I thought it worked and actually felt belevable made the conflict interesting and not one dimentional, so I liked it.

Overall, it's a good fun action film, it's no masterpiece but fun all the same. G.I. Joe won the battle.

Pure Genius.Who thought that a stupid kids Saturday morning cartoon would be turned into a cool action film.The special effects were new and improved and cool four stars for me.The end was exciting.The whole movie was cool and fun to watch.

Well this is a film of non-stop action and a bit too much all at once. I was surprised by the cast members know, a good cast in essence, some of the jokes were good. At times the CGI looked bad and many times I saw copies of other films.

Well this is a film of non-stop action and a bit too much all at once. I was surprised by the cast members know, a good cast in essence, some of the jokes were good. At times the CGI looked bad and many times I saw copies of other films.

Everything seemed to happen so fast I forgot what I was watching at some point, but going back, there are evil guys and good American guys. With a few French, English here and there.

The next thing I knew was that they took a long time on the streets of Paris in an effort doing their best to destroy the city. Next thing they were all under huge amounts of ice. Scenes seemed to be copied from Star Wars and all hell had broken loose.

Well I am glad that is over now! For me the best scene in the whole film was the first flashback of Snack Eye's as a child. There we saw a very well choreographed fight scene between two foes who meet later in life. The few flashbacks certainly helped to explain a few things, but there wasn't enough of them.

It still didn't seem to explain how planet Earth evolved so quickly or why this is all suppose to happen. And why the hell would anyone build an advance base under the sand in Egypt? That's been done to death already, the base should of at least been in the US!
