    First of all HD-DVD is dead, no studio will release an HD-DVD movie now...

    Second, a high def version would be worthless, since the picture quality isn't good even on the threates, why expect a better version at home? I think standard DVD is the best that you could see it.

    So don't wast extra money if the Blu-ray version ever comes..

    A blu-ray has already been planned for a July 22 release, according to CloverfieldClues.com, a very reliable website.
