SPOILERS**** | Jan 18, 2008 4:02 pm PTAt the end of the movie when it cuts back to the original video on the tape and it is looking out at sea I thought to myself something is going to happen. I also was sitting REALLY close to teh screen liek 5 rows up. I noticed that On the right side of teh screen something flew in and splashed in the water. Did anyone else see this? Is it the monster!!! How did it fly through space if it did?Edited on Jan 18, 2008 4:03 pm PT

Yeah, I heard that too! Also, there were some viral marketing videos placed on YouTube as a false news report covering a Tagruato sea driling refinery collapsing into the ocean. Tagruato being the company Rob is being sent off to in Japan, and is the parent company of Slusho. If you watch the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=chuai+station
My guess it was the creature "Cloverfield" which sucked it into the ocean. Perhaps the refinery pissed it off, or perhaps Tagruato has something to do with its growth, or some other tie between the creature and this company. I hope for a sequal to answer all these questions.

5. ****SPOILERS Cloverfield Monster from Space??? SPOILERS**** | Jan 19, 2008 2:51 pm PTI was under the impression that a meteor or satellite crashed into the water and killed the movie monster's mate, making it really angry. As tagruato (sp?), an oil rigging company, searched under government orders or something for the satellite, they woke the other beast and made it rise.

7. ****SPOILERS Cloverfield Monster from Space??? SPOILERS**** | Jan 20, 2008 4:17 pm PTHey guys I figured out what cloverfield is. It is not from space, it is an experiment. It originated from Japan, Slusho.pl. If you done believe me read the history of the company on the website and also read the happy talk. These two things tell you so much. It is an experiment that is lauched into the water off New York somewhere, thats what drops into the water. They were experiementing with different mixtures and lauched it into the water. A sea animal interacted with it and there is cloverfield. JJ says that it has been in the water for thousands of years that may be true but the mixture is what wakes it up. i think that their is some kind of human dna involved to. the cloverfield monster actual did try to hurt people it was basically fighting back. jj also said that it is a baby. so subsequent movies will probably have it be good, like godzilla (what it is based on). i have to do and put my kids to bed but this is what is goin on, i hope i was helpful. if you go to happy talk you hear the cloverfield monster. bye for now.

I like to think it's from outer space. That to me is a much scarier idea then a mutated whale that ate some toxic sea sludge.

9. ****SPOILERS Cloverfield Monster from Space??? SPOILERS**** | Jan 22, 2008 7:11 am PTI too saw the thing splash into the water. I'm glad that someone else saw it because I thought I was just seeing things. I haven't heard JJ Abrahms talk about the movie or heard anyone talk about the youtube videos but I'd rather them make them known to everyone so that they are official and not some fans doing.

10. ****SPOILERS Cloverfield Monster from Space??? SPOILERS**** | Jan 23, 2008 7:33 am PTI read an interview with the director or writer can't remember which, but it stated that in the last scene that was a satellite that crashed into the water. The satellite is what awakened the monster who had been down there for years. It was linked to the video that came out a week before the movie.Edited on Jan 23, 2008 7:35 am PT

If the cloverfield monster was a baby, I can't imagine the size of mom and dad... those will create tidal waves and eartquakes just moving...
Or it could be from space, cocoon drops from space, falls into sea, it incubates and grows in those weeks (remember the tape-over was a few weeks back), when reached full size it emerged and attack that oil rig and then proceeded to NY..
