I didn't think this was as good as the original American Pie movies but it still made me laugh. Some bits were real but most was over the top. I did feel that the young actors did an excellent job...

Nobody cares about what other people think with regards to Superbad. People interested will watch it no matter how many people bash it, and those not interested will not get a kick out of its hold-your-cross-close antics.

Nobody cares about what other people think with regards to Superbad. People interested will watch it no matter how many people bash it, and those not interested will not get a kick out of its hold-your-cross-close antics.

If you think you'll relate to the characters, then watch the movie, by all means. If you do not then do not expect to be rid of the stereotype you have engraved in your head about kids like these. It will get people laughing, but it is very forgettable to those who do not relate.

Although I enjoyed both the earlier "American Pie" films and "The 40 Year Old Virgin", this film didn't make me laugh much at all. It was too laddish, and lacked any of that underlying air of sweetness that the "American Pie" films have.

Jonah Hill got annoying quickly, and a lot of the other characters were very one dimensional. It's definately not an "American Pie" beater in any way.

Hilarious movie, I laughed the whole way through. Great casting also. I definitely thought this was an improvement from the previous Apatow movies.

Seth Rogan is building quite a career for himself. I first noticed him in The 40-Year Old Virgin, then he got the starring role in Knocked Up, both movies of which I thought were absolutely hilarious. Now comes Superbad where he takes a backseat in this “coming of age� comedy that tells the story of two teens trying to “hook up� before they go their separate ways for college. Michael Cera & Jonah Hill play Evan & Seth, the two nerdy teens who have been friends for life and both desperately want to have girlfriend experiences before they leave for college. The movie does an excellent job of portraying them as socially awkward but not total losers. Everything comes to a head when they get invited to a party (their first) and they agree to buy the alcohol because their friend is about to acquire a fake ID. Of course that friend is McLovin, which was the most heavily advertised part of the film, and has some of the funniest scenes. The movie has a very endearing quality to it despite its raunchiness. There’s a lot about dealing with fear here; fear of embarrassment, fear of not getting the girl, fear of losing your best friend. It’s altogether a much deeper movie than American Pie was, and still just as funny.

I didn't care for the other movies that guy wrote but this one makes up for the 40 year old virgin, and that aweful aweful movie Knocked Up. Five stars all across the board.

Superbad is the latest movie from the Apatow factory. It stars Jonah Hill and Michael Cera, two best friends getting ready to part ways as high school graduation nears. With the biggest party coming up, the two ding dongs try to bring alcahol to impress girls so they can get laid. Their friend Fogel got his new ID, McLovin. So they decide to use the idiot to get the alcohol. With very little laughs, it's safe to say that Superbad is a terrible film. I know everybody loved this, BUT IT SUCKED!!!!!! The only funny part was the doodles scene and that only lasted 3 minutes or so. I know everybody loved this crap but I guess I'm just going to have to be the outstanding voice that shows this movie for what it is, CRAP!!!!! This is nowhere in the same league as Knocked Up or the 40 Year Old Virgin. Go see some of the other Apatow films instead of this.
